An EIE2 collaboration with Laschal. Dr. Carr was looking to use a traditional nose forward grip with the Laschal needle holders and made the following changes to the design.
Shortened the instrument length to 6"
Modified the Castro lock into a L-Lock design to move it closer to the point
This enables the user to use a nose forward grip while retaining the ability to lock and unlock the instrument without having to change grip positioning.
In addition it retains all the features of the original Laschal needle holder.
