About Us
When Dr. Carr first started practicing endodontics, he noticed a high failure rate in endodontic surgeries, especially in the long run. Determined to find a way to improve outcomes, he designed a line of entirely new surgical instruments for endodontists. It started as most things do; humbly. Dr. Carr experimented with materials, bend angles, and tip diameters to find what worked best. Then came the true test: he took his small stock of surgical tips to sell at a meeting. The line was soon out the door for his products, and he and his wife were overwhelmed. At home, the order forms and tips were taking over the kitchen, spilling out of drawers and cabinets. Dr. Carr realized the potential for his small company and got to work hiring a staff, perfecting his designs, and showcasing his products anywhere he could.
What started with one man's curiosity has become a successful business with customers in over 50 countries. With new input from the Pacific Endodontic Research Foundation, TDO Software users, and valued customers like yourself, EIE2 has grown exponentially over the years.
